Drake and Bad Bunny were part of a team on MIA (2018), while Madonna and Maluma worked together on Medellin and Medellin in 2019 In the years 2020, many Reggaeton artists were complaining about the trend of the genre towards the mainstream. But, the younger generation, Rauw Alejandro wanted to maintain the development. The genre often incorporated elements from electronic dance music and other genres.
